Today, Kai went to school without diaper for the 1st time! According to ah ma, Kai refused to put on the diaper since last thursday when ah ma is dressing him up for school. And so today, we decided to let our little Kai go to school diaper-free!
Why still diaper when Kai is already toilet trained?? This is because Kai is not very ready to wee wee at public toilet bowl. When mummy want to bring Kai to public toilet during our shopping trip, Kai refused and wanted to run away when he see the toilet bowl. Kai is so particular in using only home toilet bowl.. Since last tuesday, Kai has been holding on to his urge when he was in school. He didn't tell teacher nor did he wee wee in his diaper. He will then rush for potty/toilet once he is back home! hahaha.. So when we are out, mummy and papa will observe Kai's cue very carefully and have no choice but to coax and convince him in every possible way to enter the toilet for the moment. For this initial period, mummy and papa will try to bring Kai to public toilet every 30 minutes when we are out although there is a diaper on. The diaper is to prevent any "accident" in case we can't find a toilet in time. And yes, we know it is so contradicting right.. In fact, Kai will ask to remove the diaper the minute he woke up to go potty and he doesn't need reminder at all at home.
However to our everyone's surrise, Kai did us proud today when he told teacher during the class that he needed to go toilet!
And so, maybe we should really try to start to go completely diaper free from this weekend when we are out.
