Make learning math easier and more fun

Mommy used this math material from Growing Fun to teach Kai certain number concept. Each colour bar represents 1 number and is correspondingly made up of the same number of small cubes joined together. The number is printed on each bar. We can use it in many ways to teach math concept. Recently, mummy uses this to teach Kai, greater than, lesser than, most and least concept. It is a breeze teaching with materials.
Kai can immediately tell mummy “10 and 8, which is greater?” “3 and 5, which is bigger?”



With this greater concept well in mind, it is easier for Kai to move on to mental addition by automatically putting the bigger number in his mind/mouth and add on the other number by counting on with fingers. Now Kai is using Montessori golden beads for addition and subtraction.
