So excitedly on Friday morning, we set off at 10am+ with our mini luggage bag. It was only a night stay at Festive Hotel but mummy was amazed with the things Kai and jiejie need. Milk powder, diapers, sets of change of clothes, pyjamas, wet wipes, … well, mummy admitted that it is also her kiasuism cos mummy packed extra for everything… milk powder, diapers (especially!!), clothes…. Hahaha..
We spent the first half of the day shopping and exploring RWS. The shopping areas are relatively small and we completed the 1st round in a short while. At lunch time, every restaurant was packed and lined with people. We went to Chili, a restaurant situated just outside USS for lunch. We ordered healthy salmon meal and 4 of us have a great time sharing the food. It was Kai’s nap time and dear me was started to get restless. Papa has to keep “entertaining” and playing with me so that I will be cooperative and everyone can finish the lunch swiftly. One minute Kai wanted the pepper bottle, the next minute, Kai wanted the utensils.. Only my strong papa can hold me with one hand and eat with another hand! Hehehehe…
After the hearty lunch, we continue our walk around RWS. And guess what happen!? Kai lost my shoe! :p Mummy realized that Kai’s bare right feet along the way and it started a big round of tracking back the path to find the shoe. But we could not locate it much to our disappointment. We looked at all possible corners, asked the hotel lobby porter, peeped into the information counters that we walked past but no sight of my Osh Kosh sandles. Very sadly, there is no children shoe shop in RWS and Kai has no choice but either to stay on the stroller or be carried for 2 days. No walking and running.
The barefooted Kai fell asleep soon thereafter before we checked in the hotel close to 3pm. We dropped everything and had a good rest before the next agenda! Kai woke up from my nap to find myself in an unfamiliar room. Jiejie was so happy with her loft bed that she can’t stop climbing up and down. Dear Kai tried but I can’t climb further up after the 2nd step. So Kai decided to venture the rest of the room and found my favourite phone, remote control, kettle, cup, pen… hahaha..
At 4pm, we are ready for our next line-up program! Water play! Hoorray! Kai and jiejie changed into our swim suit with no hassle. We had some cream puffs to re-energise before we head for the pool. Our hotel’s swimming pool is still not ready and we decided to check out the Hard Rock Hotel swimming pool cos we knew that there is a man-made beach at the pool! Kai and jiejie enjoyed ourselves! Initially, Kai was very apprehensive about stepping on the sand. It felt so different to hard concrete ground. Hahaha… But after a while, Kai was so engrossed digging and playing with the sand, building his empire that he forgotten about it.
It was already near dinner time by the time we washed up. Every restaurant was packed by the time we were out. We have originally planned to go to the Chinese restaurant but we got backed away by the long queue. In the end, we settled our dinner at Coffee Bean which is the least crowded and peacefully quiet for a nice family dinner.
