Happily Kai: Knowing myself

Kai is growing up fast everyday. And everyday, he brings smile to everyone’s face. Kai is the “Kai xin guo” of our house. Kai has sharp observation of his surrounding and people and picks up things really fast.

Now Kai knows more of his body parts now. In addition to head and ear, Kai knows nose, mouth, tummy, hands, toes, legs, back. And will say it out as he points to each of them when being asked. However, Kai has his mood. He will only tell you when he likes it. :p Yesterday, mummy was bathing for Kai and…

Mummy: wash Kai Kai’s legs … wash Kai Kai’s hands…. (as I soap him)
Kai: Back! (as he touched his back)
Hahahaha…
Mummy: Where is Kai Kai’s tummy?
Kai: full full (as he rubs his tummy)
Hahahaha

The cleverest word that Kai has been saying almost everyday for the last few months is “share share” and he is so cute when he says it. He uses it when he wants a bite of our food, when jiejie takes away his toys, or when he wants the toy that jiejie is holding! When he fails to get the toys from jiejie’s hands, he will go to mummy, papa or ah ma and lodge his complaint.

Other frequent words that Kai uses everyday are “walk, wear shoe, eat, spoon, sit, open, bed, book, chair, door, bowl.”

Everyday, Kai talks a lot. We could tell that Kai is really conversing and trying to say something. However, not everything is understood by mummy and papa. hehehe... nobody has yet fully comprehended the interesting and complexities of baby language. hahaha..However, this week, Kai spoke 2 complete sentences that everyone heard clearly and understood me! "I want eat!" and "I want walk!" Mummy and papa are surprised by Kai's major milestones at 17 months old! Keep it up Kai!

Last night, Kai obviously dreamt of something sweet in his sleep. With his eyes closed, he took out the pacifier from his mouth and started giggling to himself and muttered, “Dog woof woof… (and giggled again)… Bob (and giggled again!).. hahaha.. mummy and papa had a good laugh looking at how funny and cute darling Kai is.
