Milestones mini update

Our Dear little Kai’s speech development is showing vast improvement again the last few weeks. From bringing the shoes to you and only saying “shoes” when he wants us to bring him out for a walk, Kai has lately progressed to say, “wear shoes.. walk!”. ;) Kai is also aware that he needs to sit down when he needs to wear shoe to go out and that he has to sit down at the doorway upon reaching home to take off his shoes.

My 1st sandal!

Kai knows how to fetch a book and says, “read” too! Kai is attracted to books with pictures of different shapes and colours. Favourite cartoon character is Bob the Builder. Last weekend, mummy and papa chanced upon a very cute Bob the Builder mini storybook in the shape of a hammer. When mummy wanted to take away the book before we leave the shop, Kai protested and held on to the book tightly. So eventually, we bought the book to the delight of Kai. It is really amazing to see Kai flipping the book as he calls out “Bob” whenever he sees Bob on each page.

Kai likes flashcards too although Kai usually end up throwing them in the air after a while.:p

Kai can identify the sounds made by some animals that he knows so far too. When mummy asks,"where is the lion?", Kai will say, "roar", When mummy says dog, cat, duck, Kai will respond with the corresponding with woof, miaow and quack! Hoorray :D Kai can recognise and say the fruits name of apple and banana. Kai can recognise orange but can't articulate orange yet. hehehe.. Kai will touch his head(ear and toes) when mummy and papa ask where is Kaikai's head (ears and toes). :D

When Kai sees food on the dining table, he will immediately say, “food! Eat!” Kai can even say, “chi”. Kai’s first Chinese word! And that is his favourite activity, “EAT”! hahaha… While Kai can’t say mian bao yet.. he will say “bao” when he sees bread. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DARLING KAIKAI!

Kai is also a quick walker. Kai walks really fast for a 15 month+ old toddler. At home, Kai is almost literally running at times cos his steps are so quick. Very amusing to see him walking and running around in his quick short steps.. hahaha… So you should guess that it is getting challenging to bring Kai out for shopping.

Kai walking up and down playing hide and seek with papa while jiejie is in class.

Kai can also drink from cup. Mummy and papa guess Kai likes to follow whatever jiejie does. And because of this, Kai’s development seems to be faster. For example, most mummies would not think of letting a less than 15 months old toddler drink from a cup. But Kai did it with the help of mummy. Another remarkable milestone!
